100-hour introduction to the basic types of HVAC systems emphasizing refrigeration. Study theory, troubleshooting, operations & maintenance, electrical components, commercial applications, controls and motors. Learn skills that facilities maintenance personnel will need.

Familiarity with a volt-ohm meter is recommended. In this class, students will review refrigeration industry standards on recovery and recycling of refrigerants. The course content is designed to assist individuals preparing for the EPA Section 608 Technician Exam. The test is given at the end of the class.
