This introductory writing course focuses on projects useful for students working as au pairs and nannies. The assignments involve critical reading, thinking, listening, and writing for a variety of audiences. Information will be drawn from both print and electronic resources.
Written works:
– Polished resume, cover letter and follow-up letter highlighting their English-
language proficiency
– Researched and cited social media post
– Letter of introduction and online flyers/ posters for those seeking to rematch with
a new family for their extension year
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate of completion (36 contact hours).
Dates: Saturdays, 9 am – 5 pm,
April 15, April 22, May 13, and May 20, 2023
Class will meet two days on campus (4/15, 5/13) and two days virtually (4/22, 5/20).
