Emergency Medical Responders (formerly “First Responders”) manage patient care at the scene of trauma or medical emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. In this hybrid course, students will complete online content modules and attend classroom skill sessions with a certified instructor until all knowledge and skill competencies are met.
This course is based on guidelines established by the U.S. DOT and meets requirements of the Minnesota EMS Regulatory Board (MN EMSRB). It is intended for law enforcement, firefighters, ambulance and rescue personnel, ski patrol, athletic coaches, school nurses, camp counselors, industrial emergency response team members, and other individuals charged with “first response” duties.
