Universal Healthcare Worker

This course provides students with the skills and knowledge to be a frontline healthcare worker in various settings like hospitals, nursing homes, group homes, assisted living facilities and home care agencies. The program includes Minnesota Department of Health approved Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide class, American Heart Association Basic Life Support, activities assisting, dementia care, and holistic therapies. Students will learn basic nursing skills including how to take vital signs, provide personal cares and mobility assistance.

Credentials earned: American Heart Association BLS Provider certification; NA/HHA certificate of skills completion (industry recognized); placement on the Minnesota Department of Health NA/HHA Registry
