Motorcycle Training: Intermediate Rider Course

Description:

If you are comfortable on your own motorcycle or scooter, the 5-hour Intermediate Rider Course will build upon your existing skills and knowledge. Newer motorcyclists, returning riders, and experienced motorcyclists can all benefit from this course. The Intermediate Rider Course covers control, finesse, counter steering, cornering, swerving, and braking. The MMSC recommends that you have 1,000 miles of riding experience before enrolling in this course.

You must bring your valid driver’s license and motorcycle endorsement or permit, and must be ready to show proof of insurance to the instructor. Note: you cannot earn your motorcycle endorsement through this course.

 All riders must wear the required protective gear:

  • DOT-approved helmet
  • Eye protection
  • Long sleeves
  • Long pants
  • Full-fingered gloves
  • Over-the-ankle footwear

You are strongly encouraged to bring rain gear–courses run rain or shine.
