This course provides students with classroom and lab instruction in phlebotomy techniques. Topics include equipment and procedures for blood collection by venipuncture and capillary punctures. Students will learn basic anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, specimen handling, clinical relevance of laboratory tests, safety, liability, and professional ethics.

Requirements:
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must participate in lab each class period
