Prepare for a career in the fast-paced field of Healthcare Sterile Processing. Central Service Technicians work in hospitals and surgery centers to clean, decontaminate, disinfect, sterilize, and distribute medical and surgical instruments and equipment.

Starting in 2022, Anoka Technical College will be enrolling paramedics into a 6-8 month program to earn Community Paramedic (CP) certification. Working under the direction of an ambulance medical director, a community paramedic serves an important role in preventing hospital readmission and the use of emergency departments.

The DOT EMS Instructor Course is reflective of the DOT/NHTSA 2002 National Guidelines for Education of EMS instructors. The DOT Instructor is intended for all parties who are primary instructors of an EMT or higher EMS course.  This course covers planning, coordinating, and instructing an EMT or higher course.

In this hybrid course, students will complete online content modules and attend classroom skill sessions with a certified instructor until knowledge and skill competencies are met.

>> Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

Endoscope reprocessing workshop providing information that enhances the knowledge for those responsible for processing endoscopes.  It is an additional tool to understand the background, overview, work area practice, cleaning and sterilization practices for best infection prevention. Participants will receive continuing education hours for attending the course.

The Healthcare Core Curriculum (HCCC) Educate the Educator Course is an online 7-module course designed for those interested in teaching the HCCC. The HCCC is a model curriculum that allows students to explore healthcare careers and offers educational pathways in allied health and nursing assistant programs.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an international evidence-based course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This course gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Upon meeting course training requirements, you are eligible to receive a certificate of completion, and after passing the Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide (NA/HHA) Competency Evaluation (State Test), you will be placed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
