This American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Hands-on Skills session is for participants who have completed the online AHA HeartCode BLS course and need to complete a hands-on session for certification. Registration for the online course is a separate fee ($36) and is done at the American Heart Association website: HeartCode® BLS | AHA
Designed for healthcare providers, BLS teaches single-rescuer and team basic life support for adults, children, and infants including recognizing life-threatening emergencies, giving CPR, delivering ventilation, using an AED, and relief of choking.
Upon successful completion, you will receive AHA certification that is valid for 2 years.
Be sure to bring your certificate of completion for the online training with you or you will not be able to test out. You must have taken the online training within 60 days of testing.
Important: Completing HeartCode BLS online through AHA is required prior to the skills practice and testing (HeartCode® BLS | AHA); email your certificate or bring it to class. You should be prepared to demonstrate your CPR skills.
