Prepare for a career in the fast-paced field of Healthcare Sterile Processing. Central Service Technicians work in hospitals and surgery centers to clean, decontaminate, disinfect, sterilize, and distribute medical and surgical instruments and equipment. With classroom lectures, lab instruction and a clinical experience, students will be prepared to take IAHCSMM’s (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management) certification exam.
Class Dates: February 8 – May 14, 2021
Classroom Dates: February 8 – April 28 | Monday and Wednesday, 6:00-9:00 pm (no class February 15)
-Depending on COVID-19, class will be mix of online work, live webinars, and lab on campus
*Clinical Dates: May 3 – 14: Monday – Friday (Must be available for both day and evening shift) 80 Hours (full time)
- *Clinical availability will depend on COVID-19; internships will be scheduled if hospitals are allowing students, but we cannot guarantee an internship.
Requirements: Vaccination records and background check are required prior to clinical. Physical demands include standing for up to 8 hours, repetitive lifting of up to 25 pounds, and pushing/pulling heavy carts.
To cancel or reschedule, you must notify us 7 days before your scheduled class start date. No refund will be issued after that point for any reason.
