In a short time, gain new skills for a healthcare career and make a difference! Upon meeting course training requirements, you are eligible to receive a certificate of completion, and after passing the Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide (NA/HHA) Competency Evaluation (State Test), you will be placed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
The combined Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide (NA/HHA) course is a State approved program. By enrolling in this program, you will learn basic nursing skills including how to take vital signs, and provide personal cares and mobility assistance. As a nursing assistant and home health aide, you’ll be prepared to work in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and home care agencies.
Prerequisite: Must be a minimum of 16 years of age to register for this course.
Note: Course curriculum is provided. Participant is responsible for uniform, and final exam (State Test).
Clinicals are mandatory dates scheduled for students to provide care in a long-term care facility under instructor supervision.
