Class Series: Part One

This course provides students with instruction in phlebotomy techniques. Topics include equipment and procedures for blood collection by venipuncture and capillary punctures. Students will learn basic anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, specimen handling, clinical relevance of laboratory tests, safety, liability, and professional ethics.

Requirements:
-Must be at least 18 years of age

Important: This class does not include a clinical experience 

Class Series: Part Two

Anoka Technical College Phlebotomy students who have successfully completed the 40 hour classroom training within the last year may register to complete a 100 hour phlebotomy clinical experience in a healthcare facility. Approval by the program director is required for enrollment.
