This type of learning, also known as career and technical education (CTE), blends academic and technical instruction to prepare graduates for direct entry into the workforce.
Minnesota firms are struggling to hire qualified mechanics, technicians and other tradespeople.
By 2020, the Center on Education and the Workforce estimates that 65 percent of all occupations will require some form of postsecondary training and education.

ASSE 5120 Cross-Connection Control Surveyor | Specialist Training and Certification
This course provides the necessary training and examination for individuals seeking certification as a Cross-Connection Control Surveyor. The course consists of twenty (20) hours of training for individuals who are currently tester certified, 40 hours for individuals who are not certified testers, culminating in a fifty (50) question examination.
ASSE Certified RPZ | Cross Connection & Backflow: ASSE 5130 Repairer
This course provides the necessary training and testing for individuals seeking certification as a Backflow Prevention Assembly Repairer. The course provides twenty (20) hours of both classroom and hands on training culminating in a fifty (50) question written examination and a practical examination, which includes the servicing, rebuilding, and retesting of various types and sizes of backflow prevention assemblies.

Electrical Safety Training
Electrical safety training is required by NFPA 70E-2021 for electricians, electrical workers, maintenance mechanics, instrumentation specialists and several other trades and crafts. A Certificate of Completion and up to four CEUs will be provided for learners who complete all coursework.
EPA Section 608
Course complies with the EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule effective April 22, 2010. This 8-hour course is intended for all contractors and professionals performing work that disturbs lead paint or coated surface including window replacement or any demolition activity on pre-1978 residential properties or child-occupied facilities (daycares and pre-schools).
GS 42 Certification Training
The 24 Hour training program was developed in 2009 to provide information and training about green cleaning and GS 42 certification. It was designed as a “train the trainer program for managers and supervisors of cleaning service companies and organizations. This program is the only training program in the U.S. recognized by the Green Seal organization.
Low Voltage | Power Limited Continuing Education
This course meets the requirements for Minnesota State Board of Electricity approved continuing education. NEC Code code changes from 2017 to the newest 2020 is the focus of the webinar sessions.

Minnesota Boiler Operator Exam Preparation
This 16-hour is course is designed to prepare participants to pass State of
Minnesota Boiler license examination. Specific topics will be based on new instructor. Materials are included in the fee.

NEC Continuing Education
This course meets the requirements for Board approved continuing education for renewal of all registered unlicensed Electrical Workers, licensed by the Electrical Licensing and Inspection Unit. The course emphasizes topics of field interest according to the State Board’s interpretation of the 2020 code.

RPZ | Backflow Prevention - ASSE 5110 Backflow Tester | 40 Hour Course & Exam
40 Course Hours | $950
This RPZ certification course trains plumbers, sprinkler fitters, utility personnel, maintenance personnel and industrial and private water purveyors in procedures for testing and troubleshooting of back flow prevention assemblies.
RPZ | Backflow Prevention - ASSE 5110 RPZ Cross Connection Control Recertification | 8 Hour Course & Exam
8 Course Hours | $400
This class will provide renewal for Tester, Surveyor, and Repairer. At this eight (8) hour training, participants will review the guidelines used for acceptable practices of testing backflow prevention devices. The participants will receive the information and skills to help them pass the American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) Recertification Examination.
